FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Q) Who do I call if I am going to be away?

A) Please phone your teacher, email or text the Class Coordinator.

Q) Are there any more spaces in classes?

A) Enrollments for instrument classes have now closed. The exceptions are Pre-instrumental and our Ensemble/Orchestral classes which we can place students into throughout the year. Students may join our instrument waiting lists for classes next year. Please see the staff in the office on Saturday morning or send in a registration in Term 4.

Q) Can I bring other children with me to lessons?

A) Yes, but please respect our learning by bringing quiet activities for them to do. Children may not use the resources, games, books or art supplies in the classrooms.

Q) I don’t like my lesson time, can you change it?

A) Sorry, we are unable to change lesson times. Your teacher has especially arranged class times, and is unable to rearrange their timetable for you.

Q) I have sport at the same time as my lesson, can I change my lesson time?

A) Sorry Gallery is a year long commitment. Your teacher has especially arranged class times, and is unable to rearrange their timetable for you.

Q) Where can I park?

A) There are a few parks available in the staff parking lot. Other parking is available on Gordon Street.

Q) I have a question.  Who do I talk to?

A) Please address all questions initially to our Class Coordinator.  You will find Melissa or Renee around the Avalon Primary School office on Saturday mornings when Gallery classes are in session.  Other contact options are:

Email: gallery@gallerymusic.org (this is the preferred communication method as outside of Saturday morning, the Gallery Centre Coordinator hours are flexible and change from week to week)

Phone: 021-0271-9149 (this number is monitored on a Saturday morning. At other times please leave a message; please DO NOT call Avalon Primary School)
